This one was done to practice loosening up and having more spontaneity in my art.
I lightly drew a rough sketch of a sunflower and started throwing colors
on a wet background. Then I layered on more colors as I saw fit. Once
again, it didn't feel complete even though I was done with the
watercolors. So I grabbed my micron pen and finished off the sunflower.
P.S. My three previous flowers are now available in my shop.

This is so pretty, Vee! And yes, it definitely has a very spontaneous quality! I love watercolors and micron pens! Beautiful!
Beautiful!
Hi from AEDM! This sunflower's so pretty--I really like your style. I just read about your Book Project, too, and it has me thinking I need to do something similar. I think even just making a list of all my art books would be a real eye-opener.
I think we are on the same path trying to loosen up and I love this result... watercolour and pen is my favourite way of working at the moment and I have just joined your followers list so I can keep up with what you are up to xx
The colors blend so beautifully!
Lovely!!
I love the pen added to the flower. It's lovely!

Lovely work, I love the background as much as the foreground I have to say - all those colours, yummy! If I tried that it would merge into mud lol. Thanks for sharing, much love, Jennibellie xx
Thank you to everyone for the heartwarming comments!
Cat - The book project has helped so much. Even though it is currently on hiatus, it really makes me think more about each book on my shelf and makes me stop and think before I add another one.
Tracey - Thank you so much for joining my follow list! I think we are on the same wavelength - I love your work and had added you to my reader earlier this week.
Jennibellie - LOL I still make mud A LOT! It's all a learning process and lots of fun!
